“It’s colder than a penguin’s pecker outside!” was the first thing I heard this morning. Dad wasn’t wrong. The 10cm of snow that fell overnight has brought the country to a standstill but given me the chance to update the v2v blog.
With your help we’ve raised £1,164 for Arms Around the Child which is enough to fee 39 child headed families of five, in Soweto South Africa, for a month and provide them with all the nutrition necessary to sustain their immune system.
A massive thank you from all of us for anyone who has helped raise awareness of the projects and donated! You rock!!
So, what’s happening next I hear you ask? Well, we’ve plenty of exciting things in the pipeline to keep us busy which you can get involved in.
Following the success of our vegas2venice premieres we are putting on another screening of the film at the Phoenix Theatre in Ross-on-Wye. With the help of the brilliant promotional gifts company, Calendar Lady, we hope this fundraising event will be a big success.
We will then be releasing a short animated film and children’s book series called Marv, more details of which we’ll be releasing very soon!
And last but not least we are going back on the road for our next trip – vegas2jaipur!!!
Unfortunately we’ll have to leave the Clio behind this time as we travel to Jaipur, India to discover firsthand the amazing work that Arms Around the Child are doing at the orphanages.
We’ve some really exciting ideas up our sleeves for that trip but we’ll keep them a surprise just for now.
As always we appreciate any help you can give towards these projects. Just fire over an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to know more.
What? When? Where?
- Vegas2venice screening at the Phoenix Theatre – February
- Marv (animated film and children’s book) – March
- Vegas2Jaipur – April
- We’ll also be submitting vegas2venice to film festivals throughout the year.
